Congratulations to Occupational Therapist, Caryn Jacobs 13.07.2010

Congratulations to Caryn Jacobs for receiving her 'Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association Extra Mile Award'

The Extra Mile Awards (EMAs) have been created by the MND Association to recognise the exceptional support from professionals working in the NHS and Social Services- people who are pulling out all the stops for families living with MND.

The MND Association recognise what a difference really high quality care can make. With this in mind, the Association wanted to create an award as a way to say a special thank you to Health and Social Care Professionals who have gone that extra mile by doing everything they can and more for people affected by MND.

This award was launched in September 2007. Since then the Association have been encouraging anyone living with MND, including carers and family members to nominate a Health and Social Care Professional or Team who they feel have gone that extra mile by providing outstanding support.
