According to a study carried out by Age UK, thousands of vulnerable elderly people are missing out on care due to government spending cuts.

Two senior paediatric pathologists, Dr Irene Scheimberg and Dr Marta Cohen, warn that Vitamin D deficiency has lead to a significant number of children dying of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Vitamin D deficiency leads to Rickets, Osteomalacia (a bone-thinning disorder), peripheral vascular disease. It is also linked to recurrent inflammatory spinal cord disease, and may be a strong factor in the development of some cancers, multiple sclerosis

Last year four people died every day suffering from malnutrition or dehydration.
